“info-tri” is a sorting information label that enables consumers to sort their daily waste more effectively thanks to clear and precise indications given on where this waste can be deposited (municipal recycling facility, collection point, etc.). It has been gradually rolled out to a large number of objects and products since the summer of 2022. Marketers in our sector have until 20 June 2024 to comply with this legal requirement. Explanation.
To create this “info-tri” sorting information label for the mineral, synthetic, industrial oils or lubricants sector, Cyclevia organised several working groups between June 2022 and February 2023 comprising producers and other volunteer organisations. The contents of the guide result from the exchanges and sharing of ideas with the sector’s experts.
The label was validated by tacit agreement from the public authorities on 20 June 2023. It will be mandatory to display it on the packaging of all mineral, synthetic, industrial oils and lubricants placed on the market in France as from 20 June 2024. A 6-month extension to this deadline, i.e. until 20 December 2024, has been granted in order for stockpiles to be cleared.
To help you roll this out, Cyclevia has created a graphics kit that is now available. It contains:
a Guide on the "info-tri” sorting information label for mineral, synthetic, industrial oils and lubricants: this contains the essential rules to be observed and gives examples on how to use it.
source files for the label in vector format (for printing) and a png format (for on-screen display).
Your attention is drawn to the fact that the rules regarding the sorting information label given in this kit only apply to the mineral, synthetic or industrial oils and lubricants themselves and not their container (packaging).
